Americana Festival, Inc. is partnering with the South Dayton Sting Select Baseball Club in hosting a 4th of July baseball tournament to commemorate our 2011 theme of "An Old Fashioned Fourth".

The Sting is a select baseball organization based in Centerville, Ohio with young men form Centerville, Washington Township, and surrounding communities. Founded in 2005, it has quickly become one of the most respected and successful baseball organizations in the Midwest. Partnering with Americana Festival, the Sting will to host a baseball tournament with teams competing at the ages of 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14 years old. This will enable us to showcase the beautiful Centerville-Washington Twp. Park District facilities. Arrangements have been made to use the fields at Activity Center, Oak Creek South, Oak Grove Park, Schoolhouse Park, and Yankee Park. The tournament will attract teams both locally and regionally, some teams and their families will be staying over the weekend at area hotels. Literature will invite participating families to attend the Americana Festival, Parade and Fireworks, as part of their experience.
