Americana Festival, Inc. is partnering with Sting Select Baseball hosting a 4th of July baseball tournament to commemorate our 2010 theme of "We the People . . . Celebrating Our Freedom".
Sting is a select baseball organization based in Centerville, Ohio with young men form Centerville, Washington Township and surrounding communities. Founded in 2003, it has quickly become one of the most respected and successful baseball organizations in the Midwest. Partnering with Americana Festival, Sting is going to host a baseball tournament in 2010 with teams competing at the ages of 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 years old. This will enable us to showcase the Park District facilities. Arrangements have been made with the Park District to use the fields Yankee Park, Forest Field, Oak Grove and at the Activity Center (on the 5th of July only). The tournament will attract teams both locally and regionally. Some teams and their families will be staying over the weekend at area hotels and the literature will invite participating families to attend the Americana Festival, Parade and Fireworks, as part of their weekend experience.
