Festival Community – Americana Celebrates 35 Years", Friday., JULY 4TH,
2008
The Centerville-Washington Townships Americana
Festival, Inc. operates a daylong community festival to celebrate
Independence Day, 4th of July. Activities include a 5K
run, parade, street fair (with more than 300 arts & craft vendors
and food concessionaires), entertainment, auto show and children’s
area. This year we are happy to include the a 60 vendor,
“Emerging Artist,” Juried Art show at Benham’s Grove. The children’s
activities and youth related vendors were relocated in 2007 to the
Park District’s activity Center across the street from Benham’s
Grove. The day climaxes with a synchronized musical fireworks
extravaganza at Centerville High School Football Stadium.
Arts & Crafts and Antiques
dealers are a central focus of the Festival and we invite you to
return, or join us for the first time. It is estimated that
the festival attracts crowds in excess of 75,000. The downtown
streets are closed to traffic from 7:30 am to 6 p.m.
We recommend the use of a 10’ x 10’ pop-up
tent. It is your responsibility to obtain licenses permits and
fully comply with all health regulations. After receiving your
registration, we will . . .

postcard announcing your acceptance, (or rejection).

Secondly, a letter
with further instructions, a booth space number and car pass
will be sent closer to the date of the festival.
You are encouraged
to register as soon as possible as most of the booth spaces are
assigned on a first-come first-serve basis. Previous
participants must submit request for assignment to their 2007 space
or spaces prior to April 1, 2008.
Please note: The Juried Emerging Art
show and Food concessions require a different application and have
separate fee schedules. Contact the festival office for additional
information.
You may fax or mail in your application (with
your check). If faxing, please note that we must receive your
check within 15 days of receiving the fax to reserve the space.
Photographs of your product are now required.
DISCLAIMERS:
Vendors selling modern, factory-made merchandise will not be
accepted. No Exceptions, Please.
No Refunds for cancellations will be made
after June 2, 2008
